What tires should I put on my track wheels?

You guys know the story in the PNW: summer track days can be sunny with temperatures in the 90s, while Quattrofest could be in the 40s with heavy downpour.
My winter wheels have great winter tires on them, completely unsuitable for the track even in the fall. My summer wheels have great tires on them, but they rub if I'm not accelerating hard when I'm cornering. I got a set of wheels for the track, and the tires that came on them are now toast, so I need to find a replacement tire that will work year-round in this region.
Right now I'm leaning toward the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3. The tread pattern looks like it would have phenomental water rejection for those rainy winter track days, but there's also a burly shoulder block so they'll survive hard cornering.
The other tire I'm considering is the Bridgestone Potenza RE-01R. I have these on my summer wheels and they're incredibly sticky. My only hesitation about getting the same for my track wheels is water rejection: I'm not sure how they'd do in a heavy downpour.
Does anyone have experience with both tires for a comparison? Is there anything else I should be looking at?
Thanks!

but I have zero RE experience to compare against and I'm not sure I would really call them a true "track" tire in the end.

I like the PS2s waaaay better than the GS-D3s. Better wet and dry traction IMO. Note that I didn't track with either tire, but have done plenty of spirited drives with both.
No experience with any Potenzas.
