I've seen a bunch of places charging for it, but most Audi Club chapters have a few sponsor shops who do it for free. Where are you guys going to get the tech forms filled out?

The only thing is that he will not sign you off for helmet safety as he appearantly does not believe in wearing helmets while operating a motor vehicle.
Seriously tho, I think most of the places around here will charge you a fee. But I think KRS-YFF is correct that they will do it for free at the track. Call the event planner, he/she should be able to tell you. Good luck and becareful out there.

I would go to this site:
<a href="http://www.bmwpugetsound.com/driving_schools.html">http://www.bmwpugetsound.com/driving_schools.html</a>
There a list of shops that do the deed for $35.
(You are a BMW CCA member now, correct? You have to be a member of either BMW CCA, BMW ACA, OPRCA, PNW PCA, or AROC to do that 2-day event.)
Anyway, try Strictly BMW in Bellevue. It'll be tough to find anyone to sign your car off for less than that.

Here's the statement on the BMW CCA Pugetsound site:
"Tech Forms: Upon being confirmed for EACH event, a confirmation packet will be sent out that will include a link to the Technical Inspection form. All technical inspection forms must be completed in their entirety and clearly signed and stamped by a certified ASE mechanic at a known and reputable shop."
That would be in ADVANCE of the event. You can also get the form from them electronically from the site.
Porsche goes so far as require you to send it in to the local admin in advance. Then they send a form back to you. I've not yet gotten out with BMW CCA Puget Sound, but I figure you just bring that form with you to the event.
OR PCA, BMW ACA Portland, Audi NW, Alfa or Oregon, and Alfa PNW do not have this requirement -- as far as I know...
Disclaimer: YMMV.
