Default Yeah the video could help confirm the cage, or the opposite: ban you from the track.

I would say if she's already on board, let it be.

Default Anyone know if he had track day insurance?

The fine print in my statefarm makes me very leary on track days. Definately not covered in timed events. That is not that old of a mazda and looks like a total loss.

Default Agreed. Having survived a nastty crash, I decided never to race a car without a cage.

Except for the kart, where that would make things worse.

Statefarm changed their language to any incident on a "racing surface" is no longer covered...no HPDE insurance, no coverage.

Oi DoJo! How's trix out East my friend? Got the Caymen yet?

Ciao!

Default Sigh - first rule of a Red Flag track: STAY IN YOUR CAR!!! The opposite of what is in the video.

The driver of the car that posted the video just put himself and others at risk by promptly unbuckling and getting out of the car.

No what happened is not a nice thing, but in a properly staged event the emergency folks were notified by the time the dust appeared in the video and the driver is simply being an obstacle to getting things taken care of and getting the track cleared.
