Parts For Sale - Archive (NO NEW POSTS HERE)This section is sortable by model. Please include the prefix for your part's appropriate model when posting.
For sale is an RS4-style honeycomb grill for B8 series A4/S4. Only reason I'm selling it is because it has the black surround trim, and I wanted chrome to match the mirrors / window trim. The black surround looks particularly good on black optic cars. Excellent condition, no damage / broken tabs etc.
These are about $130-150 new on eBay. Selling for $75 plus shipping.
Local pickup in San Francisco or North Bay, or will ship at your cost.
Yeah, that gets it up to original $130... Good luck with your sale! Hope you'll find someone local. There are a few of these being sold on a u d i z i n e for a bigger price - maybe you'll have more luck finding a local guy there, especially since your price is great for an excellent condition.
I'll check back though if I happen to be in CA in a next few weeks.
Yeah, I just listened to a podcast that talked about how international mail agreements mean we that the US is effectively subsidizing Chinese shipping and undercutting it's own domestic shippers. This is a perfect example. When these ship from China, the shipper pays an agreed upon rate that is far lower than the retail rate paid by US shippers. Oh well. This would still be an economical option for anyone in the western US.

At the same time, shippers, who usually ship in larger quantities, have a contract with a post service, allowing them a nice discount.
It's been a know issue with small businesses. When you produce something that is 5-10lb and it's not yet popular - it will raise your shipping cost by like $50-100. While larger manufacturers will have a huge discount over that.
