I think the pic Ray posted is for a DBW as well. The nDBW is a bit more straight fwd.

Default well I think I have it now...at least I have no lean code

I bought a $10 PCV from McMaster and some plastic NTP to barbed fittings. So my final setup is this.

Removed hard line from crankcase T to the turbo inlet tube. Plugged the inlet pipe. Ran line from T to catch can. Installed McMaster PCV inline between T and catch can. Vented catch can to atmosphere. Pretty simple. I can take pics if anyone really cars to see. Thanks for the help and ideas.

Default I was using a Greddy CC and just tapped it in...

I dunno how others rigged it, but on my DBW '01 which is very similar to the '00, I just hooked up one end of the hose to the metal pipe that runs along the valve cover, then into the Greddy catch can. Then the second hose goes from the catch can into the "pressure regulating valve" (#20) into the intake tract.

I dont have my stock airbox, so I had plenty of room mounting it in that area. It worked fine. No more oily intake, and just had to empty it out once in a while.

Another friend with a well modded A4 (non-DBW) also tapped in a greddy CC in a similar manner, and his worked fine too.

I wasnt trying to vent it out to the atmosphere, but instead just create a "trap" so the oil wont be sucked into the turbo intake.

You can try to figure it all out, or u can just try putting it inline before the valve #20. Worked fine. Good luck~

Default Oil sludge update kit?

What is that?

"Pressure Regulator Valve", "Bleeder Valve", "Positive Crankcase Ventilation" all different words for the same thing. It's just that PCV is more commonly used (at least in the US in english)

Default So, basically.....

you have a T coming off the crankcase, and both ends of the T going into the catch can?

I plugged one end of the T, fed the other into my catch can, and plugged the spot in the manifold and pre-turbo pipe.

Default well there is already a T out of the crankcase

I replaced the hard pipe from that T that went to the turbo inlet tube with a line that goes into my catch can. I have a generic PCV valve in that line from the T to the catch can. I vented the catch can to atmosphere and plugged the turbo inlet tube.

Default so you left the 2nd line coming out of the T alone?

How big is your line going to the catch can?

Default yeah I didn't touch the second line form the T

I used the tubing Greddy supplied me with the can. It's about 5/5" ID. It's a little kinked since I put in the PCV valve. I'll have to fix it up a bit.

Default Qfrog posted a list of parts

the oil sludge 'kit' used. IIRC he posted in the A4 forum for both the DBW and nDBW. I only have easy access to the AEB 'list' ...

AEB
058-103-213 BREATHER TUBE 1
N-904-673-01 SEAL 1
037-121-142-A SPRING 1
06A-103-247 VALVE HOUSING 1
035-103-245-A BLEEDER VALVE 1
N-102-581-01 CLAMP 1
N-905-618-01 CLAMP 2
058-103-213-M BREATHER TUBE 1
058-103-221-A BREATHER HOSE MANUAL 1
058-103-221-D BREATHER HOSE AUTO 1
N-102-555-01 CLAMP 1

According to my ETKA the 06A-103-247 valve housing seems to be an 'upgrade' over the AEB 058 part. The other parts appear to be merely swaping in new parts to replace old ...
