a S4 and RS2 will work.
a Sixspeed S4 requires alot of parts including the transmounts and front subframe, rear diff and the driveshaft.
A RS2 gearbox and reardiff will work almost as a straight fit, using the OEM driveshaft and subframe.

The 4kq and 5kq both use 4.11 finals. Depending on the rear end in the A4, may be able to use a rear gear set from a B3 (017 rear diff, 4.11:1 final).

Hey Jeff, long time no see! There are a few V8 projects going on, including a urq...check out motorgeek.com
Anyway, which rear end is in the A4? There should be a compatable ring/pinion set from an older car.
