Default A4 1.8t B6 performance mods

Im new to this board so not too sure what to even search for.
I have an 04 A4 1.8t AT.
Im looking for an air intake kit but there doesnt seem to be many available. Any suggestions? Carbonio makes a really nice one, EVO has one too, anything else?

Also ive really been thinking of modding the ECU. I hear good things about GIAC. Is this the best available? What else can compare?

Thanks!

What kind of fuel economy can i expect out of these mods?

Are these easy installs that a non professional can do?

Default Fuel milage will probably be around the same.

no worries there.

Exhaust is very simple, so is the DV. C/O's can be done without too much problem, spring/shock combo are a little different. Only cause you need a spring compressor to install the springs correctly.

What makes this setup better? Are there certain products that work out better than others? Just trying to compare what is out there.

Default That is just his personal preference.

Most people like to do suspension/chip/dv asap.

Default do a chip first....

this is the biggest bang for the buck. my bpv blew right after i chipped. an exaust won't give you more than 10hp. don't do an intake unless you go to a bigger turbo, it will have little effect with a KO3 or KO4.

You blew your bpv...what kind of problems incurred with that? how much to fix something like that? If I got a chip, should I also upgrade my bpv?

Default You should upgrade it right away.

You can do a cheap 710 valve, from the TT. It does well, but it doesnt have the quality like Forge, Dahlback, or hyperboost. I would get one of those 3. Cant go wrong.
