Default Interesting indeed.

First of all, the Vortrag hood design has been copied by this company and that is an issue.
As for price...well, my other posts go into that.

The vents on the Vortrag-design dip down (as this hood's vents do). The reason this vented version does not fit the S4, is because the vents hit the top of the S4 engine which takes up more room and is higher than the A4 engine.

Judging by the same hood design pictured on the Faspac site, this would not fit the S4.

Default Carbon Fiber hoods

I've seen the CF hood on your car, and it is absolutely top notch. Gorgeous finish on it.

I've also seen a full blow CF hood on some Hondas and they were equally as nice. The best part? They were like $550 per hood. There are 2 versions that are typically offered. One w/ full frame underneath, and a race version which is about 8 lbs, which requires hoodpins for safety.

So no, top notch CF parts don't have to cost an arm and a leg.
