Default Do you think my boost gauge could take enough vacuum away from bpv to cause problems?

The boost gauge is tapped into the line that goes to the N249 valve that controls the DV. The line spliced into is directly off the TB..

Default

If your gauge line has a leak it will cause the valve to open and close a few times.

Default i found a crack on the line that connects to the nipple on the TB

Any comment on whether I should remove the reservoir or not?

Not sure with the B6? You can move the reservoir if you need too.

Default What is the function of the reservoir?

I see no reason to increase the volume of the intake tract via a reservoir that does not actually do anything except cause some lag by making extra volume that needs to be pressurized. WHy not make the intercooler larger? that would serve the same purpose. Is it there to buffer the intake against pressure spikes so make the engine smooth?

The 20V 5 cylinders and none of the Audi race cars with those 5 cylinders ran a reservoir. I'm surprised to see that in the system.

Default Oh I am sorry, I guess I read it wrong. I thougth it said Move not remove.

I have not looked that close at the B6 setup so I dont know why audi added that part of the intake track.

Default What? Get my panties in a wad?

Actually his post says "remove" and I was saying I was sorry that I read it as "moved" the first time.

I also just said that I dont know why its there since I dont own and have not looked at a B6 that close.

Default oH,

I follow you. LOL I missed his post that asked about removal. Sorry. :-) For some reason, not seeing/misreading the first post, your post read as sarcasm. (Kinda like "I said Move not Remove")

I still wonder what function the reservoir serves.
