Do you need spring compressors to install koni coilovers?

Nope
Coilovers, compared to other things, are sorta easy compared to installing separate spring and shock aftermarket stuff. The hard part with coilover installation is to get the ride height the way you want it...and then then hassle or readjusting them AFTER the cars settles in a week or so.
You need spanner wrenches though....Corey has some and might let you borrow them. I think Audiboy has spanner wrenches also.

And...
You might need spring compressors for the coilovers anyway, depends on what the free length of the spring is. Don't know about the Koni coilovers, but the Neuspeed Race lowering springs required spring compressors.
I think you can mostly assume that the stiffer the spring, the less free length it will have (in order to work correctly in the car).

Koni Coilovers do need a compressor...
i put in my coilovers w/ the spring perches ALL the way down, and i still needed to compress the springs a bit to install the cap. It also makes the rears easier to install too. M "koni" springs were green. im curious if anyone got different colored ones. Im also thinkin about trying different springs w/ the koni coilover shox. Any recommendations?
