Word on the street is they're just Coleman rings so it would be feasible...
to send the rings to coleman prior to installing and have them machine up a couple sets of spares thus eliminating ECS

Stoptech hats
Intersting you found that too.
My 2000 S4 with Stoptechs recently had to have the hats replaced.
In my case, the hats had been abraded by hitting the edges of the AXXIS Ulitmate pads making a clicking sound.
Induktion helped diagnose it, and worked with Stoptech to get them replaced. Stoptech replaced them at no charge, which I really appreciated (and Kudos to Induktion for working it all out, including sending pics to Stoptech!).
Imduktion replaced the pads with the new hats with a different pad. I don't know if the pads had anything to do with it, if the caliper was letting the pads move around too much, etc.
But it seems fixed now, and works great.
The brakes were about 3 years old and the pads were the second set.
