hey- xrtic! got a couple of questions for you about the water injection

after seeing your setup i decided to go for it and copy your sytem, but i am just going to be using it as an mister for the FMIC for now
once i have the turbo kit on and dialed in i will change it over
1.what did you use the solenoid for?
2.wich side is the inlet and output?
(there was no diagram in the box it was shipped in)
3.i can just wire this up to a switch/relay, and when activated it will pump, correct?
4.what type of fittings are these? thread pitch/dia?
5.is the pump self priming?
TIA!

I got some answers...
1. The solenoid is used to control the flow. The pump is on as long as the system is armed. The solenoid only opens when the pressure switch is triggered. This way, there is always water ready to go (assuming there is water), and you don't have to worry about a delay because the pump isn't primed.
2. There should be arrows on the pump. Looking at your picture, the outlet should be on the left side (I say should be...)
3. Yep, wire it up to a switch/relay, and it will pump. It has a built in pressure switch, so it only runs when the switch is armed, and the pressure drops (like when the solenoid is open)
4. I think it's 3/8" pipe thread. The solenoid I bought I think was 1/8" Be sure to get some Teflon tape for the threads, or it may (will) leak.
5. Yes.
