Ok, I adjusted it to about 28 psi with the vac line removed,
it sits just above 20 with the vac line connected, is that right? is the optimum setting the lowest it'll go without hitting any knock sensors?

Might want to up it about 5 psi or you'll notice a lot of misfires at idle.
I found about 35 psi to be ideal, with the vac line removed. IIRC, it was 26-28 psi at idle with the line connected.
