These pictures are from a small jet engine that uses a centrifugal compressor wheel for its compression stage and a custom axial single stage wheel for the turbine. The turbine produces about 42Lbs of thrust at 106,000 rpms. The exhaust temperature is around 1200 degree F at full throttle.
Pictures 1 & 2 show the EGT thermocouple just barely protruding into the turbine nozzle. Picture 3 shows the magnetic pickup for measuring the compressor rpms in real time. You can get the thermocouple from www.omega.com.
