Default New Hi Flow Hi Performance Exhaust manifold for Garrett Turbo

These I have been working on for quite some time.
They will easily handle 400+HP.
using Standard T25 Flange, so most T & GT25/35 series turbos will bolt on.
All are Tig Welded using Thick wall Steel.

If you want some serious Horsepower, have a close look.

Default I presume the one in the image is a prototype that has not yet had the...

inlets separated for heat expansion yet?

Looks sweet!

Default What about bracing?

A lot of the tubular manfolds I've seen end up cracking from a combination of heat, weight of a turbo, and vibration.

A simple brace running from the block to the turbo/manifold will help a lot. Even the stock turbo/manifold has a brace on it.

Default What about slots on the exhaust bolt eyelets?

I noticed both the stock exhaust manifold and the APR S3 both have slots @ the eyelets where the exhaust bolts attach. For heat expansion I would assume. Must serve some function. Didn't notice any on this prototype. Any easier tightening the exhaust bolts then on the S3?

Default Some more Info

Yes it is very tru that tubular manifolds have been known to crack.
This is mainly the case with Thin wall stainless, Stainless expand considerably with Heat causing many stress points.
The Only Real way to get a stainless thin wall setup not to crack is By Fully supporting/bracing the Turbo its self, on the A4 this is difficult due to space and the the only easy point is the Engine Mount, then using "Slip Joints" in the runners allowing expansion without stress.
This is not made from Stainless but from a type of Cast Steel with pre-cast bends known as "Weld Els", this is very well known in exhaust manufactures circles.
The Header Flange is CAD designed and will allow some movement due to the Aluminium and steel differences in expansion.
The will be some extra options available like Ceramic Coatings, possible T3 Flange option, and maybe even a external wastegate option.
At this stage it is Made for the T25/T28, GT 25, GT25/35 range of turbos.
Turbo Positioning is very similar to one of the well know Turbo Upgrade kits so will give those people a Upgrade Path for those chasing Bigger power.
