I have tried vise grips, cutting a notch in the head and using a screw driver, and brute force. Nothing works. What options if any do I have left? If I have to bring this to a shop what do you think they would charge to get the bolt out? Thanks!

Depending on car, if its a v6 with an upper and lower oil pan, the lower is a breeze to remove and then you can get it out or replace the pan

You will need to find a larger size<ul><li><a href="http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/product.do?BV_UseBVCookie=Yes&vertical=TOOL&am p;pid=00952160000">bolt-outs from sears</a></li></ul>

That worked.
If it's on there so tight, there is a good chance the threads are messed up.
You could always try and pump the oil out through the dipstick tube. There are some people that never remove the drain plug, just pump out the oil.

the lands, not the tips. You'll see a rounded lobe shape and not sharp points in the socket. Plus there'll be some ad copy praising its benefits - they're real.
