Question: K03 making 15 psi and a 28rs making 15 psi why arent the power
#11
My example wasn't very good, but the power difference is because the GT28RS can flow more air
at the same pressure (or even potentially at a lower pressure). Toaster29's post is much more informative than my quick and dirty answer.

same amount of pressure is correct but the k03 would flow about 300CFM's where as the GT28RS would
flow about 450. (note: figures are not necessarily accurate so dont post and say the turbos flow this or that, the numbers were simply for reference to make a point that the 28RS pushed alot more air out of the tube at a given pressure rate.)

Pressure would be an INdependent variable.
Pressure values equal, more air is being flowed by the GT28RS.

You should pick up Corky Bell's book on turbocharger systems. A great read.

That type setup is used on a centrifugal compressor for a A/C system they call them staging veins
which allows the machine to spool up with no load then open the veins and increase flow, very efficient now if we can just make one for our cars we would be set.

Pressure just equals how the air is being delivered
it is the amount of air(cfm) that makes power and the larger turbo is moving that amount of air at the same boost pressure at a much lower air temp. As air heats up it expands, causing the amout of air(cfm) to drop even more.

Simple reply:
The turbos will make the same power at the same boost at the same efficiency range. However, the bigger turbo is more efficient at higher rpms, so it will make more horsepower. At the higher rpms, the small turbo cannot make enough air flow and makes heat instead.
