Default Let's not waste band-width: What is your point?

You claim your 1.8 is faster than an RS4 and get pissy for no reason when I say I have 350HP in my chipped S4 with plumbing mods... What is the point you are trying to prove or make? If you are in a pissing match with me about who has more HP or anything like that please note that I do not care a lick even if you have more HP than a 911TT - more power to you. Just get this in your head though - an S4 with the formentioned mods can and will make 350HP and run a 13sec 1/4 mile!

A chipped RS4 should be able to push 450HP with better plumbing - so Audi did not waste their R&D money in making the uber s4

ALSO:what is your best 1/4 mile time 60' time etc... You better be in the 12's if you want to beat an RS4!!!

Default Re: Let's not waste band-width: What is your point?

Point I dispute you have 350HP, simple.
I would say 320-330 area tops.

I made exactly 1.962X power of a Stock 180HP A4TQ at wheels, by you reasoning, and my earlier misconception a year ago, this would you say put me in the 353HP Mark? Yes/No?
According to the dyno designer/manufacturer my car is 326HP Gross.

RS4 weighs apprixiamtely 485lbs more than my car.
If I have more torque at wheels proven on a dyno than a Rs4 upto 5500-6000rpm, put together 485lbs advantage, i would say I can beat a RS4 and your car. Yes/No?

You never said anything about plumbiing or other mods before, you said chip & exhaust...

Does it upset you a 1.8TQM can give a S4 V6 a damn good run?

1/4 mile times, i imagine i can do far quicker than 16 sec.

Quote of a RS4 Owner "Lucas's car seems as quick if not quicker than my RS4"..

Default what is your 1/4 mile time again?

you never answered my question...

this conversation is getting lame and is unproductive, and I did say I was talking about a chipped S4 with exhaust (full-turbo back). Lets try to make the rest of this dialog more productive...

So help me with this - If my car makes 168HP Stock - 208HP with chip - and 229HP with full exhaust on street gas with cats please let us know what you think that each HP figure you think is? We all know that the stock S4 has around 250-260HP. Please write down each step of your calculation (or thought process) Please remember that the original post I posted was to prove that for my car the exhaust mods made HP - 21HP at the wheels at that!!!

Why do you have a hard time believing that it makes 350HP? Is it the 13sec 1/4mile time? Find a decent HP 1/4 mile calculator and calculate the HP for a 3750-3775lb car turning a 13sec-13.1sec 1/4 mile @ 105-106mph. It should read around 350HP. The new M3 is even slower with around 340HP!!!!

I have the same setup as Silverbullet except the chip and the downpipes are from different companies - He provided a dyno plot with 358HP/410ft-lb on street gas - do you think he is lying as well???

Read the magazine and look at the dyno plots we provided to you - the whole world is not plotting against you and I could care less if you are faster - like I said earlier, more power to you for having the fastest A4 on this board. The best way to prove would be your 1/4 mile times though.

WHAT IS YOUR BEST 1/4 MILE TIME - 1/4 mile times are for real!!!!!

Below are the 1/4 mile times of some similar cars - maybe it will help you comprehend that an S4 can have 350HP with exhaust mods:

Stock E46M3 - around 340HP 1/4 mile @ 13.3sec (supposed to be 180lb lighter)

Corvette - around 350HP 1/4 mile @13.0 sec (get this 380lb [10%] lighter than the S4!!!!!!!)

Now you tell me: looking at these figures (and realizing that the S4 is heavier than both cars), how much HP do you think an S4 should have in order to be in the middle of these 1/4 mile times @13.1 sec???

Default Here's a European Car review of 1.8T vs. S4.....

It doesn't touch as deep as the great real world data in this thread, but may be of interest to some. <ul><li><a href="http://www.findarticles.com/cf_0/m0BUX/6_31/62194445/p1/article.jhtml?term=1.8T+A4+vs.+S4">1 turbo or 2</a></li></ul>
