spark plug gap....I'm at .028"....is it worth it to push it to .030" or even .032"?

You 'want' as wide a gap as you can run without inducing misfires due to the gap being too
wide to sustain the arc at higher rpm. FWIW, the original 'kit' came with a spark plug gap spec of .032". I currently run .030". I don't think you'll find that .002 makes a huge differeence but changing gap is pretty easy so ...
