He built up his stock 1.8 to a 2 liter.

bear in mind that's on a race fuel program....not sure if it's richer on street program

Default Yeah, I would agree thats too lean, but also keep in mind that the 1.8T has a MUCH higher...

knock threshold than the subbies do. The highest I see Evos go on pump gas is high 11's when running 20 psi.

I need to run my wide band on my friends Evo that runs 24psi on 91 octane.

You are correct, the EVO has a much higher knock threshold than a Subie, and the 1.8T probably does as well. I have seen EVO's at 12:1 on pump. (Shiv tunes at 12:1 for example)

I would not put much faith in the A/F charts John shows as I believe they were done with a sniffer. The DBW chart looks to be incorrect IMO.

I am running 11.5:1 or higher now on the STi RA motor with W/I.

Default Curious... how is a tailpipe sniffer any different than a wideband sensor mounted in the downpipe?

The readings may be a bit richer than at downpipe, but its using the same type of sensor, no?

Default I think the idea is that there is nowhere for the exhuast to escape with the wideband 02

whereas with the sniffer, some gas might sneal by..just a guess.
