I have a 2020 Technik with its standard 12.3-inch virtual display. The pre sense icon has always been white and always disappears after driving for about a block or until my speed is above 30 km/h.

I can’t see Audi having two colours for the pre sense start up icon without a valid reason. The yellow icon without any warning text at start up, which disappears after driving, might just be normal. The yellow icon with warning text is not.

Maybe you’re right and mine’s as 2021 which may or may not make a difference. But honestly it’s not worth all this discussion.
The dealer says it’s normal and I believe them. It has never changed in it’s behaviour, the vehicle operates as it should and I don’t really care if I have the feature or not.
If it’s an actual defect of course it should be fixed and I will note it at first oil change so that it’s on record but it’s certainly nothing that I stress about.

2018 S4 yellow pre-sense on and stays on after startup for a few months below is the code it is throwing, anybody know how to interpret this? I am not under warranty. Default Q3 2021 pre-sense malfunction

So I got the same pre-sense malfunction warning message out of the blue ... The car has 8.000 KM and was bought 6 months ago (produced in 2021).
I had couple of situations where an emergency braking was needed and the pre-sense front system did it's job and pushed the breaks for me ... Now it's not doing any longer ... sometimes the icon appears as a warning and slight break ... but in 90% of the situations, without my intervention it would just simply collide into the front cars / pedestrians ....

Went to the dealer ... they put it on tester ... no problem ... funny is that we started to do side testing with another Q3 and that one behaves as it should while mine not ... even in this conditions they say that everything is fine and can't do anything for me ...

Will meet with them in court and will try to run some tests ... if anyone has any suggestions ... I am thinking to have something like an inflatable doll and test it with my car and a rental ...
