For my Acura I paid $35 + $15 for BMW not a big deal.
What IS a BIG DEAL - $200 oil change at dealership.
Found local mechanic and changed for $95
Point well taken about the oil change...as for the wiper blades, it's more the frustration at having to spend more for a lesser product (RainX, Bosch)

I wouldn't call bosch or RainX lesser products.

My wife's 2011 has some pretty annoying OEM wiper blades if you ask me. The day we picked up the car, it was raining. Within a few minutes the blades left a crappy film on the windshield and started skipping around.

For my money I've never been dissatisfied with Piaa or Bosch wiper blades.

Is that $50 for both front blades or each? If both, not bad then. I went with PIAA replacements as I have had good experiences with them prior. Very clean and quiet wipes an long lasting. I just ordered a new set of their Si-Tech silicone blades from Amazon for about $50 shipped. Haven't installed them yet though.

Sloppy typing; I meant to say the RainX (in particular) and the Bosch are both better than the OEM blades. My point is this: whether $10 or $100, it appears we are stuck with no options and a lesser product.

I agree how we are forced to buy from the dealer because of the weird mounting bracket. But the replacement blades I got from my local dealer are Bosch.

Had the replacements installed last week. This evening it has been raining with varying intensity levels. Car was washed two days ago, and windshield was clean. EVERY swipe at every speed interval, the driver's side blade makes a loud noise and shudders a little. My other three cars all have RainX blades. Not single issue. Ever.

The PIAA Si-Tech did not fit my Q5. DO NOT buy any of the PIAA wipers for your Q5. I called PIAA and they confirmed that they do not have an adapter that fits the Q5. They claimed that Audi changed the wiper arm bracket and they were not aware of it. They will have a new one that will fit the Q5 by this summer. So all their marketing/website info lists the Q5 in error.

My Q5 is new but I always replace twice a year. Does the Audi system mean we can only replace blades at Audi??? That's crazy. There must be a work around but those with knowledge of how we can make our wipers friendly to other blades--please post. Thanks.

The OEM blades ARE Bosch blades! 8R1-955-425-B $18.00 in stock. 8R1-955-426-B $18.00 in stock. Having never found a blade of any brand or price that lasts longer than 6 months I see no reason not to buy OEM. Audi wiper blades are top quality.
