I've just started experiencing this on my '14 tdi. Recording is dangerous since this happens when I'm driving and stopped at a light and I'm more concerned about shifting to neutral and back to drive so I don't get get drivers behind me upset. I've disengaged the auto start stop for now and I'll see what the dealership says tomorrow when I bring it in. I did see one error on my dash but hopefully the techs can find something tomorrow.

Hi- I had this sometime ago on my '14 Q5 TDI. It was the "start stop" wiring harness. There was a Audi tech bulletin on this. Dealer replaced harness (warranty) after odering it from Audi & all is well. That was about 2 months ago. David

That was the exact cause of mine. All fixed now.

Do any of you use the auto stop/start? I don't think I've ever used it.

I am now experiencing the same symptoms on my 2014 Q5 and they are becoming more frequent.

According to a post on the My Audi Q5 forum, here is the TSB regarding this issue:

I told my service advisor about the TSB in advance of my 1/7/19 appointment, but am concerned about Fidelity not covering the repair on my extended warranty without any failure code and not necessarily being able to replicate the symptoms for the dealer on demand.

​​​​​​​I cannot find a copy of the TSB online. Does anyone know where I can get a copy?
