These are tires that put Q5

255/45 R20:
-Bridgestone Dueler HP Sport
-Goodyear Excellence
-Michelin Latitude Sport - used Porsche Cayenne
-Pirelli Scorpion Verde
-Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT

It is interesting there are no German company: Fulda, Continental
They key here is any tires that "meet spec" By default, those tires you listed meet spec and Audi will use the supplier who can supply one of tires tires at the lowest price.

There are many manufacturers that "meet spec"

Audi has offers from Kumho, Hankook, Toyo..... who have all licenses and lower prices, but again does not use these tires

For the tire 255/45R20 Audi paid :55-65 Eur = 72-85$ - information from insiders

Folks,

I pulled off the Goodyear "Excellence" 20's today (with only 330 miles on them) and replaced with Yokohoma Parada Spec-X. The new tires have resolved my issues! Ride quality is substantially improved.

There is a bit of handling compromise at the limit--but, for 99% of my driving today, everyone enjoyed the ride better--even my wife.

Thanks for the support and assistance,

BA

I had the OEM 235/55-19 and replace them with 255/45-20 Yokohoma Parada Spec-X. The Yokohoma Parada Spec-X rides better than the OEM 19's. Also, went through 6 in. powered snow and handle well. Very happy with them.
