Default 2009 Q5 with Samsung Galaxy S4

Anybody know if the Bluetooth in my 2009 Q5 will connect to the Samsung Galaxy S4 phone?
Thanks
Joe

S4 works on a 2011 Q5, so I suspect you're safe.

It also works with 2013 Q5. It took me several attempts to pair. I was afraid it was not going to work after the first couple tries. I don't believe it's on Audi's compatibility list yet.

Default Works!

I just verified the Galaxy S4 phone does work with my 2009 Q5 bluetooth. Contacts are also there.

Curious, does the Galaxy S4 support reading of incoming text messages? My S2 did not, but I just switched to a Windows Phone (Lumia 920) and now suddenly when I get a text, my car offers to read them to me.

I'm not sure if the lack of text message reading was a deficiency in the S2 or the whole Galaxy/Android line. BTW I didn't have to do anything special to configure the Lumia - just connected via Bluetooth and suddenly I have text message support.

I have a 2012 Audi Q5 and my contacts from my Galaxy S4 do not sync with my Q5. My S4 is sync'd with my Google Account and I noticed that all of the "non-contacts" that Google stores from email's I have sent are the only contacts that are sync'd with the Audi - but my actual contacts do not show up in my Q5. Any idea's how to get my contacts to show up? Could it be a setting with my Google Account?

I am from Canada so I'm not sure if that makes a difference because it sounds like no one else is having this problem.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Farhan

I don't recall any real difficulty with my 2010 Q5 or 2011 A4 Nav MMI. There is a setting on the S4 under Phone : Contacts : Menu : Settings : "Contact sharing settings". Try setting to "Send all namecards".

There may also be options in the Bluetooth menu of the S4. Touch the settings symbol on the bluetooth pairing entry while you are connected to the car.

You may want to delete from MMI any old phone pairings for phones that you no longer have.

Good luck.

Dennis

I have an '09 Q5 and my GS4 contacts sync just fine. I also have all of my contacts synced with my Google account, which are the ones synced with my Q5. I'm sure its just a setting somewhere.
