When I was shopping both these cars last year about this time there was less than $1500.00 difference in 2 comparably equipped models. I was shopping in USA...maybe that made the dif.

Those complains stemmed from the N54 motor, not N55.

N55 is a brand new engine, single turbo. N54 is the dual turbo variant.

i love bmw but god only knows how ugly they've gotten. the q5 trumps the x3 in looks.

Yes, I'm averes of that. My problem with issue, that start from September 06' till end of N54 production BMW never admit problem and make recall.

its so ugly no wonder people thought it was a bomb when parked outside the museum of natural history here in NYC. its not a bomb but an abombination! now that they put the N55 motor, maybe we'll get that Q5S =)Supercharged 3.0!
