I called Audi and they told me that June of 09 they lowered the settings on the seats, why they did not say.

Even if we just get the dump from a "hot seat" version it might help as I definitely have unimpressive seat heaters but mine is also a diesel so the differences might be too great.

Is anyone willing (and able)?
Hidden menu, seat menu perhaps? Mine is set to 1 on a 0-6 scale. I haven't had a chance to mess with it (yet). Seriously though, the seats in my 2010 Q5 get plenty hot. But then, I rarely go higher than "1" in my R4 even on the coldest days.

My 2010's seat plenty hot too, but i usually going form just the 4 to 6 setting. 1 to 3 is really useless, Audi should just rid of it.

I just bought a 2011 Q5; love it, except the "heated seats"; not. Did you figure out a way to change the temp setting so they get hotter?

The 2010 (and I'm guessing 2011, based on comments here) seats barely get warm.

I'm guessing you have a 2009 Q5.

Wasn't me that said that, but I will for sure check. I haven't had a chance to use the heated seats in my '10 yet, but next time I go up to the mountains I will check. I do remember them being VERY hot in the '09 Q5. I hope they're as good in the '10 since it's forecast to be a very cold winter at our mountain place.

I tried the heated seats at level 6 on my new 2011 2.0 P+ and it got quite hot very quickly ( outside temp 35F). I had to turn it of while my rear was still Medium-Rare. Didnt try it at a lower setting since I was cold.

I really don't get it either, I live in Wi. and we have had some 16degree days already and with the setting at 5 or 6 I can't take it for long. I find it hard to believe one could possibly need it any warmer.

Funny, on my 2010 I rarely go past 1-3, while my wife is 6 all the way.

Anything over 3 is too hot for my rear-end.
