2011 Q5 Heated Seats

Luke warm seats
Help - my 2010 Q5's heated seats are totally wimpy compared to 2006 A6, 2007 Q7, and previous A4's. Audi has made them almost useless. I definitely would like a way to adjust them to be warmer. Last time I asked the dealership about changing them, they said they couldn't. There has to be some way to do this ourselves?

As much as I wanted to be skeptical about the seat heaters on the newer Q5's being toned down I think there's definitely something to it. I'm one of those "easy to warm up" type people and on my way to the dealer today I had to turn down the seat heat on my Touareg from 4 because it was too hot. I took a 2011 Q5 for a spin (still waiting for mine to arrive) and set the seat heater to 4 (while wearing the same exact clothes etc). I couldn't feel any noticable warmth and I asked the Salesman about it. He told me to turn it up to 6 but professed to know nothing about any changes that Audi has made to the heat output. With the seats on 6 it was warm and comfy but nowhere near the output of my 2004 Touareg. The Q5 on 6 felt about equivalent to a 3 on the T-Reg. I guess it's not the end of the world but when my seat heaters go on the in Q5 it's going on 6 by default
