They have said the US market won't see it #1, because the TDI isn't approved here until the 2014 MY, and #2, because Audi estimates only selling around 1,000 of them, and it's not worth the trouble to jump through all the hoops here just to import a thousand vehicles.
Looks like it will be Europe only, more than likely.

We're getting them in Aus but then we already have the 3.0TDI so shouldn't be such a stretch. Mind you they are estimating a price north of A$110k (or US$115k at current exchange rate).

Nice video of mostly the left headlight and scenery - could have used much more of the Q ![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Was somewhat curious until THAT price !!!!
It best have EVERYTHING on it if they expect to sell any

I would imagine if we ever do see them in the US, and it is a TDI version (keeping in mind the price of existing models and VW comp models/hybrids), we'll be looking at a price of near $80K for sure. Maybe more than that.
When you think the Touareg Hybrid sits at $65K, and who know what the MY13 Q5 HYBRID will be ($75K??), a TDI SQ5 would have to be well north of that. My real guess would be, say, $89K, just as a guess. Although I bet I'm low. That's probably why they only anticipate selling 1,000 of them. And probably why we'll never see them here.

True, the models are different sizes. Wonder where the Aussie SQ5 estimate being as high as it is fits in tho? If it is priced at $115K US there, how could it be a $50K vehicle here?
$115 seems high to me for there anyway though.

Remember the touraeg shares platform with the Porsche Cayenne. They are much heavier and much better off road.
I'm in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) right now and I went to the Audi dealer today. A Q5 here is not much more than what we pay in the USA.
