Default 2013 vs 2014 Q5

Is it worth waiting for the 2014? I can chip the 2013. Is 10 more HP the only difference and wil that make up for the price bump? (since I wd chip mine anyway.). Thanks!

The new 2014's are on dealer lots. I have my new 2014. There are a lot of engine improvements, see my post from yesterday highlighting the changes. One key change is the additional indirect fuel injector which should help keep carbon buildup off the valves. The price increase is $1400, the Convenience Package is now standard equipment ant that was a $1000 cost in 2013, so the 2013 to 2014 price increase was only $400 and you get a new engine for that price. Plus the 2014 may have some new tweaks to reduce oil consumption and improved steering to overcome the previous complaints. You also have a year newer car which will increase the value at trade-In.

New engine post.....

These changes more than make the 2014 worth any cost differences IMHO

Agreed, Reggie, I quoted Bob's post to my dealer when I told them I wanted the 2014. They didn't know. Astounding. I think they've located one for me in Glacier White Metallic/Black with Nav and Sport, Premium Plus, which is what I wanted.
