Default 2014 changes?

I see in another forum (quattroworld) what looks like the 2014 Audi Order Guide updates for the Q5 at:

http://www.quattroworld.com/audi-new...uide-2014-usa/

The summary there is:

Q5 3.0T:

S line package:
+20″ Titanium 5-segment-spoke-design wheels with 255/45 summer tires*
+Matte black roof rails

2014 Q5 TDI debut
S line plus package

Colors:

Maya brown metallic
Volcano red metallic
Lava gray metallic
Daytona Gray Pearl Effect (Req. S Line Exterior)
Arctic Silver Metallic (Q5 Hybrid Exclusive

Anyone actually able to confirm that this is right? Am starting my negotiations with a couple of dealers, and getting impatient!

Yes, those are correct, and we've got the order guide here, too, for you to look over. (Up on Dropbox thanks to Mark P collecting the PDFs from people and uploading for us.)

So for the New Gray Colors..

How does Monsoon Gray compare to:
Lava gray metallic
Daytona Gray Pearl Effect (Req. S Line Exterior)

I have read that Daytona is a bit darker than Monsoon.

How does a metallic effect compare to a pearl effect?

Monsoon is the only gray color I have seen in person.. Does anyone else see a hint of green in it?

Excellent, thanks! Now all I need is the pricing... I qualify for the 'vendor discount', and am 'assuming' that the 6% with that is about as good as I can expect for the Q5... So I can spend my energy on the 'trade in' side of the equation.

Sometimes the terms are used interchangeably, but by definition metallic has a visible "flake" or particle effect in the paint while pearl has an iridescence or glow to it.

Monsoon definitely has some green in it, which is why I think it's a lot more interesting than most grays.

Monsoon is a fairly straight grey (possibly with a tiny bit of blue), Lava is extremely dark (it's been available on A3s and Q7s here at the least, so you may have seen it), and Daytona is a darker-than-Monsoon somewhat greenish-background grey.

I think the Daytona Q5 Link is really Monsoon

This should be a pic of Daytona: http://ctny.audiworld.com/mark/q5/re...4_audis_09.jpg

And here is a thread with lots of color selection pics: https://www.audiworld.com/forums/sho...tona+q5&page=3

I agree, Daytona is greenish and Monsoon is neutral to bluish.

It didn't seem greenish enough for Daytona, but the window sticker does say it is and it's about the right darkness overall. So I expect it is, just the lighting wasn't quite right to highlight the green tint.

I'm not familiar with the 'vendor discount' - does that mean you work for a company (like Bosch) that is a supplier of parts to Audi? Will you share who you work for? Just curious what the span of companies are that qualify for this.

What engine are you looking to purchase? I doubt the pricing will change much, if any, from 2013. Here's the 2013 pricing for existing models, along with my guess at TDI pricing for the options I'm getting:
