I just got my wife a 2014 Q5 2.0T and the brakes do take some getting used too! Way more travel then I am used to in my GMC, but Q5 does stop when you step on the brakes!!!

Same here...My SQ5 brakes felt a little spongy at first, with a lot of travel. It does, however, feel linear. They just took getting used to. If you really step on them at speed, you'd better have your seat belt on.

I will say that it has some of the noisiest brakes I've had in while. You know...when you're sitting at a red light and ease up on the brakes until they slip. The whole vehicle vibrates with the noise, best described as a car-fart.

I brought it to another dealer, they bleed the brakes, was nice and firm for a while now its reverting back to spongy again, it’s going back in again next week.. Seems to be common problem!

Q5 went in for the 3rd time for the brake issue, Funny how they write cannot reproduce customer issue on the statment of work, then proceed to work on the car for almost a week! Anyway the shop forman bleed the entire brake system by hand. Completly replaced all the brake fluid, then test drove it for a week. I put about 1000k on since, seems to be fine, finally!

Hoffman Audi in Hartford Ct..customer service could be better, never called me after any of the services to see how things were going. Should have stayed with Acura.
