Just an FYI for others as I just went to the cat scales in Jessup, MD to have my car weighed and the information is found below:

Weight 1 - Full Gas, about 5 pounds of personal stuff in car, no driver:
Front Axle = 2420 lbs
Rear Axle = 2100 lbs
Total Weight = 4520 lbs

Weight 2 - Full Gas, about 5 pounds of personal stuff in car, Me in Driver seat (200lbs):
Front Axle = 2520 lbs
Rear Axle = 2200 lbs
Total Weight = 4720 lbs

Looking at the label on my driver side door, it shows:
Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) = 5655
Front Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR) = 2866 lbs
Rear Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR) = 2976 lbs
Payload Capacity = 1047

Some Notes:

• Based on axle ratings I have a hypothetical rating of 5842lbs. So something else is lowering my GVWR (not the axle ratings) and not the load based on the tires or wheels. Most like suspension, but I'm not sure.
• Being 200lbs, I'm surprised that weight in the driver seat weighed down the front and rear axles exactly 50% (100lbs each).
• Left over total payload with me in the car is 935lbs.
• Left over Axle weight with me in car is 346 lbs on front axle and 776 lbs on rear axle.
• Based on seeing the axle ratings, I can somewhat understand why a weight distribution hitch might not be necessary as our tongue rating is 440lbs. Additionally, a unibody frame like ours is not built for a WDH as well.

Figured I'd put this out there as I couldn't find exact weight ratings for our cars and since I'll be buying some toys soon, I needed this information and thought it would help others.
