2017 SQ5 MMI Question
Hi -
I have a new 2017 SQ5. recently, my wife added her phone to the system which is my daily driver (when I'm home).
If we both get in the car, her phone always gets picked.
I did some cursory looking and I can't see a way to say 'this phone is more important' if both are present. Is there such a thing?
Thanks

Unless they've changed in the later models, VAG products always attempt to connect with the last phone that connected. If she drove it last, then your both entered, it will see both phones but connect to hers. You either have to enter the car and start it before she enters, or go into the Bluetooth settings and select your phone from the paired list.
I know some of the Chrysler u-Connect systems allow setting a phone priority, but I've never seen it in another brand.

I haven't verified this myself, but I've previously read that the priority is not based on which phone was last connected, but which phone was last paired.
So if you haven't already paired it in this order, try deleting both phones and then pair your wife's phone first, followed by yours. If what I read its correct, then your phone should always have priority.
They changed how this works in the 4th generation MMI where you can have two phones connected simultaneously.

With my 2012, I paired my phone first, then my wife's several days later. If she was the last driving it, her phone is still connected instead of mine. But if I was the last driver, it connects to mine, not hers. I don't think there's any priority assigned to a phone. Of course, it might have changed since my MMI version. I believe it was changed in 2013, right?
