I would have hoped for the 3.0 S/C in the '12 Q5.
But the 3.2 model is in the aim order system for 2012, so it will soldier on for 1 more year.

It's how Audi dealers order cars and locate vehicles.
Once they load up 2012's in the system, you can see all the engine options.
3.2 & 2.0T are in there for 2012 Q5 models.
All the 2012's are loaded in the system. Most everthing is a carry-over, sans the new body A6, A8 W12, and the A7's. And a few other things like TTRS. 2.0T CVT A6 is in there as well
I'm assuming the allocation for 2012 orders will be sent down this month from Germany.

Wow, thats pretty disapointing, I thought for sure Audi will make a 3.0T Q5 to try to match the BMW X3 Xdrive 35i.

I guess you have to look @ audi's perspective.
Q5 inventory is almost non existent @ a lot of dealers.
2.0 / 3.2, they'll sell every last one and demand will exceed supply.

That's true, but you have to believe that part of Audi's goal is to take market share from competitors, and engine choices to match up against those competitors would be helpful.
