About to purchase Audicare for my 2015 Q5 TDI; please advise!

I just had the 15K service on my 2015 Q5. Cost would have been $441.35. The AudiCare cost me $800.00 which I opted for when I bought the vehicle. I always felt you have more bargaining power, if you choose, the earlier you start negotiating. Once you wait until 14K miles, you have no leverage. I'm sure they feel they're going to service your car either way unless you're comfortable with changing and purging the fuel filter which requires you to buy the software to do it. I think it's an excellent deal if for no other reason there should not be a warranty problem due to "improper" maintenance for the 4yr./50K. Keep in mind this is a high performance diesel engine, not a GM 3.8L.

There won't be much negotiating on Audi Care as there is very little profit margin to the dealer. For those that got it "free" or at a discount at time of the car purchase, they could have received an equivalent amount off the car without it since the dealer has to pay for it. There are no free rides here.

I would wait to buy it until your 15K mile service and see how the diesel mess shakes out. While the V6 TDI engines have so far not been announced as affected, investigations are ongoing. Worst case, the price will go up about $50 or so based on Audi care pricing history.

$200 for Audi Care in one year - are you sure? I know on the gas engines it's always been $50 or less year over year for the standard Audi Care (not the Plus or Select).

$839.00 when new or at 15k miles.

The other tier with the regular cars actually went down from $860 to $829.
