Dang .

Funny, I just got a pair of texting gloves for Xmas, those should do nicely.

As for the heated wheel, you could possibly wrap a coat hanger around the wheel and hook it up to the car battery? Seems legit

Absolutely!!! Problem solved!

Also make sure to text while wearing driving gloves, and drive while wearing texting gloves, but never text while driving, or drive while texting, unless you are wearing the opposite pair of texting or driving gloves....

I don't care where you live, you don't "need" a heated steering wheel. If this is a deal breaker for you, then I wish you good luck. Enjoy your Kia!
That's what I thought till the feature came on my Kia... really enjoy it all winter long. Do I need it - well no but isn't the Q5 a luxury car - usually that means coming with amenities that aren't on lesser cars. Still love the Q... :-)

This is what my salesman told me when I pointed out that the BMW 3-series offers a heated steering wheel, unlike the A4 Avant I was considering at the time:

Is the heated steering wheel in the 3 series designed to somehow make up for the lack of leather in the interior? Or maybe it's actually designed to lull you into a state of warm euphoria (not unlike a Snuggie) that distracts you from the overall boring features and drive. The adrenaline produced in driving a new Audi will increase your circulation quite possibly enough that you might feel inclined to actually remove your winter gloves entirely while driving.

My 2007 BMW x5 had a heating steering wheel. It was a nice feature on cold days.

The doors on my moms 2002 X5 froze on cold days, requiring her to climb out through the trunk.
