Hi all, I've been lurking for a while gathering info. This forum is really great btw. Cross shopped several SUVs. Looked at Infiniti FX35, BMW X3, Cadillac, even the new Jeep Grand Cherokee (yes, I realize that's a large cross section). I ultimately decided on a 2011 Brilliant Black 3.2 Q5 Prestige w/ Luxury package and Cardamom Biege interior. I have my deposit down now. Due mid-June.

I'm still not certain if the 2011 is what I want because of the color combination. My 2 previous vehicles have been black so I wanted something a bit different. I preferred Deep Sea Blue with Black interior but the 2011 orders are closed and I want to avoid the 2012 camera debacle. AoA owes me a call Monday on the issue and the dealer is still trying to work some magic for me.

Ditto on nearly all points except I'm going with the white 2.0T Premium Plus. I tried to find what I could in stock and it seems off to be ordering a 2011 with the 2012 orders starting, but waiting to mid-June is long enough and I think the 2011 will be more than fine for me. I think I would have to have traveled the country to find one in stock that was close to what I wanted for options and still would have paid as much as getting exactly what I wanted.

I know that patience is a virtue (hearing that alot lately from my wife), but I'm not feeling very virtuous with ~6 weeks of waiting left........

Is your order for a 2012? Unless you are getting one of the dealer's alloted cars, I heard the 2011 orders were done.

I ended up getting in on a 2011 dealer pre-order that I was able to modify a bit. Probably near the end of 2011 orders as my build week is next week. The wait is killing me and I still have until at least mid-June.......

No, a 2011, mine was from the dealer allotment. Unlike bridger76, I was not able to change anything.

Audi NA did not call me back on Monday as stated. They called me this evening however with an update that they'll call me when they have an actual update.
