Default Any solution to distraction relection of side vent?

I love my recently purchased 2012 Audi Q5 but find the reflection of the shiny left side air vent in the left window quite distracting.

Has anyone come up with a good solution to this?

Great, I am now afraid to drive my car in fear of noticing this and forever being bothered by it.

My Odyssey's really bad about reflection from the grey trim right where I look at the side mirror (reflection across half the mirror is very distracting ), but I didn't notice any issues from the chrome trim on the Q5. So I think it all depends on your eye height how bad it may or may not be.

As for mitigating it, might be able to paint it maybe. Or there might exist some trim to swap in (not sure if all Q5s everywhere have the chrome surround or if some don't such as the lowest trim/option levels in Europe).

Not that I've noticed, but you should become immune to it.... give it some time...

or you could always put some black electrical tape on it

I never noticed it until several months ago someone else started a thread on this subject. It became annoying for about 2 days after which I forgot all about it!

I know this isn't the answer you are looking for but here it goes...You have to learn how to "look through" the reflection. All cars will have some sort of a reflections in the glass if you allow yourself to focus on them.

what I was trying to say....
somewhat like when I first started riding motocross and trails....
was told by a riding buddy that was pretty good (250 national champ) that you always look where you WANT to go,
never where you don't want to go,
because invariably your eyes lead you there

Yeah, that has bothered me since the get go, but I go used to it after a good 6 months to a year...

They made the B&O speakers in the dash piano black, so they wouldn't do that on the front wind screen, but they messed up on the side windows.
