I have a '14 TDI and when the car is cold, I can hear a soft clunk noise when the car shifts from 1st to 2nd gear. It seems to get quieter as the car warms up.

I also tried holding the car in 1st gear using the manual mode, and the noise still happens at about the same speed it would've shifted to 2nd.... weird.

This also only happens under light acceleration. If I do medium to hard acceleration I don't hear it.

Anyone else experience this? I'm almost due for my next service, how would you suggest I describe this?
