Hi all, I just moved from GA to WA and need to replace the front filler panel on my non-S Q5 for one of the license plate brackets. The dealer wants to charge me way too much money for the part.

I am looking for someone who has a "standard" (not S-Line) Q5 WITH parking sensors that is interested in swapping a front license plate holder for my filler panel.

Alternatively, If anyone is selling their holder, I would be interested in that too.

Off topic, but where did you get the front filler plate? I've been wanting to get one but was concerned it would effect my parking sensors.

Thats me. I just picked up my Q5 wednesday with a plate holder that I want to swap for a filler panel.

I bought my license plate holder from a member on this site. Still have the original (no license plate) filler plate from my 2010 Q5 non S-line (used only a few months). If anyone wants it, I'll sell it for $100.

Why change it? It looks better without.

Police have way too much to do then pulling u over for no front plate. Even if u get pulled over u get at least 30 days to change over.

I decided to put a front Flag Plate on my car instead of paying $350 for a filler plate panel w/sensors.
FYI the holes on the plate holder are 1/2" further apart than a standard US license plate and frame.
The dealer did have the collapsable fastener nuts required to screw into to attach the plate and the holes on the plate needed a widening adjustment.
