The "aluminum dimension" was optional trim for non-S-Line Q5s, and was supposed to be a hexagon-textured "3D look" trim. The 2014 order guide has "aluminum satellite" listed; not sure what that's supposed to be, exactly. Hard to find much on the non-brushed aluminum trims....A post on a Canadian site with a (blurry) picture: http://www.audiforum.ca/q5-q7-58/pre...72/#post157847 (the thread's about the stock shortage and how people were getting "micrometallic platinum" (a matte painted-on-looking trim) instead).
I'm pretty sure I've run across images elsewhere, too (clearer closeups), but can't seem to locate them at the moment.
Not seeing anything at all for "aluminum satellite" which 2014s are supposed to have.

I'll have lots of pics in 2 weeks.
I'd get them for you now, but I'd have to swim out into the mid-Atlantic as its on the boat. I definitely plan to highlight this in my pics, as well as the non-nav center console layout as these were two things impossible to find pics of when we were ordering.

One a little further out but a bit lower res (this was my phone picture...ignore the fact that the airbag went off, I got the car like that and its been done for over a month now...only one I could find that was further out without having to go take one)
