Audi is currently working on a new generation of the Q5 which is said to make its way onto the market in a couple of years, with a new chassis, new looks, technologies and engines.

Are you sure? It's quoted in 2 different articles. There is talk of a 2016 / 17 facelift.

2016/17 facelift ????? for which model you think the facelift

1,000,000% sure

New Q5 probably will not have the Matrix Light, but full LED as option
Matrix Light currently available only as an option on the A8

From a styling point of view I don't care if the rear light cluster appears all
red. But I just cannot fathom why there is this insistence in having RED rear direction indicators in NA instead of the worldwide AMBER. AFAIK the USA allows amber rear indicators and Canada absolutely does.

<<<@!1!@>>>

That reminds me of a video I saw on A3 concept lighting. Really wish Audi would adopt this, love the way the LEDs can flash a different colour on the turn signal :

Enjoy

Default New Design features - Basic car is the same

A lot of different design features but the overall design is the same. Maybe because of mileage restrictions I don't know, but car designs these days evolve very slowly comparedto the go-go sixties. I remember pretty much every two years the design changing drastically. Now the big changes are in the technology....more hp/ litre, better electronics to keep our minds occupied, ways for us to hear, or not hear the exhaust note, building mpre fun into the car and oh yes, much much safer! All in all, a pretty good tradeoff.
