Hi everyone, I own a 2009 Audi Q5 S-Line had it for about less than 6 months and there's around 3,500 miles on it.
I was getting ready to go to a party tonight and when I turned the car on and then the AC, the cold air wouldn't blow, warm air was blowing, the temperature was set to the lowest and the AC button light was turned on, I thought something was wrong with the car. Only after 3 minutes of driving the cold air started to come out. This is the first time that has happened and when I usually turn on the car the air usually gets cold within seconds.
Should I go to the dealer to have this checked if this continues? When I was going back home from the party the AC was fine.
Also, would you recommend before I turn off the car that I should turn of the AC, radio etc.?
Thanks

Here's an update:
The next day, I went to the store and the air that came out was warm and it didn't start getting cold till i started driving the car which was about 10 seconds after. Once I got back into the car to go to another store the same thing happened. When I started to go home, it was working normally again.
Should I call my Audi dealer and ask them to have it checked? I just hope that when they test it and it works over there that they won't tell me to go home because it works when they turn it on.

Either way the sooner you report it, the sooner they open a file on it. The last thing you want is for it to go away only to return the day after warranty runs out. There may be a fault code generated already so even if it works perfectly, service might pick up something.
You may have sticking baffles or stepper motor issues indicated by noises from behind the dash or a belated whoosh before it turns cold?
