Default Infiniti's new EX35 ... you should look at this car ..

I'm a long time Audi fan, but I don't like SUVs and for me the Q5 is still an SUV.

I've read some people who tested the Q5 and the Infiniti EX35 and they went for the Infiniti EX35 crossover. I'm one of those who went with the EX35.

JD Power rates it as the number in the Premium Cars category. A4 and Q5 did not make it.

http://www.jdpower.com/autos/articles/2008-Initial-Quality:-Premium-Cars

It can do 5.5 - 5.8 seconds from 0 - 62.5 MPH and handles more like a car than the Q5. Hell, it can go head-to-head with the Audi A5, which is rated by Audi at 5.8-5.9 seconds 0 - 60.

check this out.

Have you ever sat in the EX35? The interior finish puts the Q5 black plastic dashboard to shame. I have all leather and wood in the dashboard.

It also has innovations like scratch healing paint, all around view cameras, 9.3 Gig of Hard drive, ipod connector (control ipod songs on the steering), and many others ... and you can get this for $31000 - $32000. You'll be getting about the same amenities in the Q5 if you spend $54,000.

Q5 trunk space is at 19 cu. ft. and Infiniti's EX35 is at 18.6 cu. ft. But the feature that blows me out is that the Infiniti's EX35 backseats can fold down and fold up again with a touch of a button .. if you want more luggage space

And you could pack more golf bags than the BMW X3, check this video out.

Default The Q5 and the new A4(B8) are 2009 model year cars. There was no 2008 Q5

in the U.S. How would you expect it to be on the JD Power 2008 initial quality survey?

Default I've tested both .. their ride don't compare to the EX35

You may be right about the Q5, but the A4 has been out for a few months now. And the 2008 A4 didn't cut it either.

I've tested both Audis and their rides don't compare to the EX35. I'm an Audi fan, but I'm expecting more for the price and quality. And in terms of speed, the EX35 wins hands down.

And what's with that black cheap plastic look on the A4 and Q5? Even the 2009 A6 has resorted to that! I like my 2006 A6 better because it has that aluminum and gray trim, which is much more elegant. Now it's all that cheap black plastique look.

I'm skipping the new Audi models and will wait another 4 years for the next new model. Even the manager of my Audi dealer (and I won't say his name) said he didn't like the two-tone leather of the new A6 (and I agree with him).
I like the new A6 supercharger engine and more power on the rear wheels, but that's about it. The rest are 'blahhh'. And the A6 is light years ahead in ride compared to the A4 (no way!).

Default I have to disagree with the interior of the infiniti, it does not come close.

It is cheap plastics and fake woods...sorry no dice, and that c pillar blind spot is rediculous anyone over 5'4" is giong to have a hell of a time parking it..

Default Re: Plastics could be better, yes

While the overall interior design is indeed better. Unfortunately they don't make that ideal SUV yet where everything is "right".

Default Front license plates

IMHO front plates mess up the looks of the Q5. Sure happy my state doesn't require one.

(Don't take this personally, I'm referring to state required front plates)

Default Audi screwed up big time on Interiors - Cheap Black Plastic !

My wife is an Audi loyal fan. And she was pretty disappoint about all the BLACK PLASTIC crap that Audi is putting inside the new dashboards. Sorry but those black plastic makes Audi look like a Hyundia. Even the maintenance manager of our Audi dealer said he didn't like the new two-tone crap leather they put on the A6. And I agree with him. If you read the new reviews of the EX35, many said that's the same thing you see on a $70,000 car and I agree. You're a sales manager of Audi, so I understand. But I'm gonna pass on the 2009s and wait for the next generation of Audis where I expect much better quality interiors ... Gladly my 2006 Audi A6 still has that chrome and gray look inside (that's quality design, brother!)

NO BLACK PASTIC CRAP .. PLEASE !!!!
