Default Audi Snowboard Rack

So I ordered a snowboard roof rack that was supposed to fit our crossbars, but just my luck, it didn't. Returning them tomorrow and considering getting the deluxe Audi ski/snowboard rack. Can someone tell me how they perform, or suggest good alternatives??

Thanks!

I might go for this one. Did you need to buy anything extra, like adapter locks?

I see that this kit has a clamping style feet to connect to the cross bars.

Aren't the slots in the Q5 crossbars directly compatible with the Thule ski carriers, making those clamping style feet redundant?

This is the one I got and worked great. It has slide out feature so loading and unloading skis/snowbaords are easier.

+1 Here, just like the Thule flat top but with the slide out feature; works flawlessly.

I wouldn't cut the stripping. Just use the clamp.
