I know this topic has been brought up time and time again but after searching several websites and reading multible posts by other Audi owners I'm still not able to figure this out...

I'm looking to purchase the Audi BT audio adapter but haven't been able to figure out if the device will work in my Q5 or not! So I thought I'd just ask and see if anybody out there has the same setup and has had success with the BT adapter.

I have a 2012 Q5 premium plus with AMI, non navi. From what I've read, the adapter is not compadable with the 3G mmi but since I just purchased my Q5 a little over a month ago, I don't know much about it. I haven't been able to find out if I have 2G or 3G mmi or if I even have the mmi since I don't have the navi setup??

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!!

I believe the one from Audi works with non navi 3g mmi...but if you want something else check this out: http://audia2dp.weebly.com/index.html We haven't ordered one yet because we are waiting to see if we realy want it once we get the car in a week, but it looks pretty good and is cheaper than Audi's solution (it should be standard anyways, but that's another issue).

Yes, the Audi A2DP Bluetooth audio adapter works on the Non-NAV system. Your Q5 is a CAN radio system, not MMI2G or MMI3G. It plugs into your AMI unit I believe.
