I have the same issue. The salesman demoed this to me when I picked it up, but I don't recall the menu I need to go into to turn this folding feature on and off. I think it is cute but ultimately superfluous. If any space is so narrow that I have doubts about my mirrors fitting I wouldn't try to park there.

I take it you never park on a city street?

I had the opposite problem. My 2 yo decided to lean over and push buttons instead of getting in her seat. I didn't realize she had done anything until one day I locked the doors and went wait a minute...

it is personal preference, but I usually fold the elephant ears in when going up to drive thrus as they usually have a post sticking out that will hit your mirrors before you get close to the curb !

Always get a "that's cool" out of the lil wait staff
