Default Blendmount Custom Radar Detector Mounts

Does anyone use these on their Q5 mirror?

IMO it would hang too low and interfere with visibility. It also "advertises" your device to police, thieves, and tag-along motorists.

I like my V-1 up high and to the left of the mirror.

It looks like a quality, well engineered product though. For the Valentine-1, it appears that it's only available for the manual-dimming Q5 mirror.

That's where mine is too. The suction cups seem to hold it up there pretty well but I wish there was a more robust and secure way to mount it in that location.

Sums it up quite well. I'm fine with it but sometime mrs. elevens whacks it out of level with the sun visor.

I didn't even know there was a manual dimming mirror in the Q5. lol

I am thinking of incorporating the V1 into my mirror if I go the V1 route.

Agreed. It's not the most secure place.

Old thread, but just wanted to see if anyone actually has successfully used a blendmount on a Q5. I have a 2014 on order and wondering if I'll be able to do this.

Further, has anyone successfully used the stealthcord and tapped into the mirror housing power?
