Bluetooth questions

I have a 2013 premium plus, no navigation Q5. I do have bluetooth and I have nav. on my galaxy s3. is there anyway to have my speakers function in conjunction with my phone's navigation system when it is connected via bluetooth? I do not have bluetooth streaming audio, since I do not have the nav. system.

I can't speak for Android but it works with my iPhone 5.

how do you get the function to begin working? is it automatic? do you have to call yourself?
